Council heads have urged the government to fund another return to social work scheme to bring 200 practitioners back into practice and alleviate pressures on the workforce in England. The Local Government Association (LGA) made the call in a briefing ahead of a House of Commons debate last week on the Independent Review of Children’s Social Care.
