Councils underfunded home care and older people’s care home services in England by just under £2.9bn in 2021-22, according to an analysis by provider bodies. This was as part of a funding settlement ministers have said would provide councils with up to £2.8bn in 2023-24 and £4.7bn in 2024-25 for social care. .”
