KVC’s Positive Impact Grows Nationally During the 1980-90s, KVC grew to represent one of the broadest child welfare and behavioral healthcare continuums of care in the nation. A few years later, the parent organization KVC Health Systems was created. At the time, 30% of children were in congregate care placements.

New Research: LGBTQIA+ Youth Mental Health & How You Can Help. A shocking 42% of LGBTQ youth considered suicide in the last year, and 70% of LGBTQ youth reported poor mental health throughout most of the pandemic. But when she came to KVC Hospitals, she received comprehensive medical and psychiatric treatment.
