He died eight years ago and I still have intermittent bereavement counselling, which is something I highly recommend. Every single person we met in the hospice and the hospital was kind to all of us. For the whole time James was ill, with the exception of his time in the hospice, I felt like a ‘non person’. It was dehumanising.
