Before I became a social work professor, I did casework in hospitals, child welfare agencies, crisis hotlines, and in the Veteran’s Administration. She has talked to the agency about protecting workers, and the response from the administration is that they are “working on it.” Bureaucracy moves at a snail’s pace.
