The fifth (and final) evaluation report was published in November 2023 and promoted in January 2024. The model from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, which ran from 2016-2021, tested the impact of allowing beneficiaries with terminal conditions to receive supportive/hospice services concurrently with curative treatments. Among the results, surveyed MCCM enrollees and caregivers reported high levels of satisfaction with shared decision-making, receiving care consistent with their wishes, and quality of life.
