Effect of Chair Placement on Physicians’ Behavior and Patients’ Satisfaction
A recent study found that where hospitalists sat in an exam room positively affected the behavior of the physician, while increasing patient satisfaction and communication scores. This simple, no-cost intervention of chair placement increases their likelihood to sit during a consultation. The authors suggest that future work should be done with behavioral intervention strategies to improve health care delivery.
