The Experience of Black Patients with Serious Illness in the United States: A Scoping Review
Research from CAPC's Project Equity work was published today in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management. This open-access article describes a scoping review of the experiences of Black patients living with serious illness, and their families. The majority (76%) of articles in the review established evidence of racial disparities between Black and White patients, versus investigating and understanding the root causes of these disparities.
