Acupuncture vs. Massage for Pain in Patients Living With Advanced Cancer
In a recent study published in JAMA Network Open, researchers found that both acupuncture and massage therapy are associated with long-term pain reduction, as well as improved fatigue, insomnia, and quality of life, in people living with advanced cancer. This study follows a joint guideline published by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Society for Integrative Oncology, recommending that both treatment modalities be considered for cancer pain management.
