An article published in Palliative Care News addresses the importance of integrating employee feedback into staff development policies—especially when facing challenges with burnout and turnover. Given the extreme pressures that have carried over to palliative care teams throughout the pandemic, this employee feedback can be helpful to teams. Per Beth Lawn, MD, chief medical officer at the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Helathcare, "The workforce is very, very diverse and that needs to be taken into account. The most important thing is that people have a safe space for reflection … because you need to provide relational human space.”
