Three winners announced for the Innovation category of the national competition.

Today, the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) announced the winners of the “Innovation” category for its third national Tipping Point Challenge. This follows the announcement of the "Clinical Training" winners in early February.

The goal of the Innovation Challenge was to catalyze innovation that has made positive, breakthrough change in the care of serious illness. Open to all health care organizations across the U.S., nearly 100 initiatives were submitted, including those from hospitals, health systems, clinics, and payers. Each submission was rigorously peer-reviewed by an expert panel and evaluated using six criteria: Impact, Outcomes, Equity, Feasibility, Scalability, and Sustainability. There are three winners (one gold, two silver) and four finalists.

Per CAPC CEO, Brynn Bowman, “We were thrilled to see such innovative work happening across the country to bring access to person-centered, high-quality care to patients with serious illness, and their families. CAPC is committed to spotlighting these innovations and supporting other health care innovators to learn from, and implement, new strategies to improve care quality.”
