The Drug Enforcement Administration received a record 38,000 comments on its proposed telemedicine rules.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is temporarily extending telehealth flexibilities, which would otherwise expire along with the coronavirus public health emergency on May 11.

The DEA received a record 38,000 comments on its proposed telemedicine rules over the February proposal to reinstate stricter limits around the prescribing of controlled substances including medications such as Adderall, oxycodone and buprenorphine.
