Palliative Care for Patients With Cancer: ASCO Guideline Update
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) has updated its clinical guidelines, which provide evidence-based guidance on integrating palliative care into standard oncology for all people diagnosed with cancer. Last updated in 2016, the guidelines suggest early palliative care integration in oncology, especially for patients with advanced solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
