A Window of My Own

Dear Readers,

Happy New Year! The Year of No Snacking! LOL

Mr. Untipsy redid our whole office space, and it looks just wonderful! I now have a desk in front of my very own window. Now, it’s not the most scenic of views out my window, but I have my own apple tree! Squirrels sit on my tree and eat the apples now that it’s winter. I have my own sidewalk to watch people walking their dogs! I see moms walking their children to the school bus stop, as well as teenagers slogging their way. Cars going by. Or in the case of our 15″ of snow, cars getting stuck! (I also see my neighbors trash cans on trash collection days. LOL)

Mr. UT also made me a snowman I can see out my window! He’s so cute, I laugh every time I look out.

I was hoping I would want to write more if I had my own space at a window. Of course, I actually have to get to the window, and not stay in bed with coffee and playing games on my phone! However, once I do make it here, I just love the light, the trees, the birds, the connection to the outside world.

For so many many years, I have spent trying to look inwards, trying to improve myself, reading just about every self-help book written. I find myself, at an older age, where I’d rather look outside of myself, and just observe, and take in all I can see. To just be. A window helps me do that.

I think everyone needs a window of their own.

Like dogs. They love a window of their own.

With a Heating Pad on my Lap,

(Because windows can be chilly in winter),

On Day 3046,

Wendy

This is our neighbor dog, Louie. He loves his window. He also knows when we walk by, we will give him a milk bone, so he runs around the house going crazy until his mom lets him out to get it! LOL

  1. Inspiring passage: ” For so many many years, I have spent trying to look inwards, trying to improve myself, reading just about every self-help book written. Keep on writing and inspiring!

  2. Wow, what a beautiful job ! I had to go back and forth between the pics to make sure it was the same room 😂 I hope the new window proves to be a great source of inspiration 🙂 thanks for showing us ! Xxx Anne

  3. It’s incredible how environment can’t change productivity. I’ve always found myself much more creative with a window to stare out. I do my best writing in my head on nature walks, having a window helps capture that same feeling.

  4. This is a gorgeous post! I adore your view and I agree, looking inwards is essential for development and transformation, but so important not to forget to look outwards and appreciate all that we can see and experience! Your husband sounds lovely but then you are lovely so that kind of works out just fine 😊❤️💕
