Prevalence and Predictors of Symptoms in Persons with Advanced Dementia Living in the Community
A study published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine sought to determine the frequency and severity of symptoms (e.g. agitation, depression, apathy) in people living with advanced dementia living in the community. The authors found that this population, and their caregivers, may benefit from home-based palliative care, to help identify and manage their behavioral, psychological, and physical symptoms.
