Addictions impact people's neurochemistry (mood); their sleep quality, their pain, their relationships and their thinking patterns. Initially addictions may be used to escape from distress, but, through use, people are unknowingly making their mood and other problems worse. In this episode we examine the impacts of chemical and behavioral addictions on the person, and propose some interventions that could serve as launch points for recovery.
