In layman’s terms, most people conceptualise having OCD as being particular, methodical, a clean freak or likes certain numbers. In actual fact, OCD, which stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, is a debilitating condition that interferes with daily activities and causes significant distress. OCD, as its name suggests, is made up of obsessions (excessive worries or concerns) and compulsions (repetitive behaviours or thoughts to prevent obsessive fear from happening).
