Last week I was feeling a little under the weather , which l ed me to writing about the perfectionism that it brought out in me. After several days of not feeling so hot, I woke up yesterday morning feeling somewhat healthy for the first time in a while. It was, as the saying goes, a breath of fresh air – not only physically, but mentally as well.

Ukraine refugee payments should not count for care charges, says government

People who take Ukrainian refugees into their homes should not have the money they receive for doing so counted for the purposes of care charges, the government has said. In guidance issued yesterday, the Department of Health and Social Care said councils should disregard the £350 a month paid to sponsors under the Homes for Ukraine programme when assessing their resources for charging purposes.

NASW joins amicus brief to support sexual harassment survivor from University of Arizona

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and 30 other organizations on April 4 joined an amicus brief led by the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) in support of the petition to the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to rehear en banc the sex-based harassment case of Brown v. Arizona. En banc means all judges of the court would hear the case.
