Depressive State

In the past three weeks, I found myself off my usual routine and triggered into a depressive state. It was a challenging time where I struggled to take care of myself properly. Daily tasks like showering, eating nutritious meals, and keeping up with cleaning my apartment fell by the wayside. However, I’m happy to report that today marks a turning point. I’ve made some positive changes and I’m feeling much better.

One significant improvement has been finding a medication that helps manage my morning anxiety. This has made a noticeable difference in my overall well-being. Additionally, I’ve been consciously focusing on self-care and activities that bring me comfort. While I did let my personal hygiene and diet slip during this period, today I am determined to get back on track.

To kickstart my day, I started with exercise to energize my body and clear my mind. I’ve also taken the initiative to order a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring that I have healthy options to enjoy throughout the week. While I still have several hours of work on my computer today, I’ve made a plan to tackle household tasks gradually. Rather than overwhelming myself by trying to do everything at once, I’ll take small steps, like washing dishes and doing laundry, to gradually catch up.

By adopting this approach, I can prevent myself from becoming overwhelmed and create a new routine that allows me to stay on top of housework going forward. It’s a reminder that self-care is an ongoing process, and it’s okay to take things one step at a time. Today, I am proud of the progress I’ve made and optimistic about what lies ahead.
