Oh Those Education Workers….

February 21, 2024

Remember those education workers who at the beginning of the pandemic, switched their approaches on a dime to as best as possible accommodate their students?

These are the same ones who managed their own kids at home while doing their best to accommodate yours while on-line and in some cases, still in-person.

Now these are the same people doing their best to catch those same students up academically and even socially.

These same education workers are teaching and supporting students, both neurotypical and neuro-atypical as well as those whose physical, health, mobility and developmental differences require additional attention.

Their task goes unnoticed, but the task is enormous, more so than before the pandemic.

They are doing all this with far less support themselves, with fewer colleagues to share the responsibilities.

Many are themselves burning out, questioning their role and profession.

Anything we can do to ease their load while showing our gratitude not only gives them a boost, but also acts in the interest of the children they serve.

Please, continue to remember and respect their role and efforts.

Our education workers.

Still heroes.
