Love Letter to OCAD’s Foresight Program

The Ontario College of Art and Design has a Master’s Degree Program in Strategic Foresight. I happened upon it via the work of many of their graduates and the way in which they position this work online as a generous and brilliant act of public scholarship. This post is really a love letter – of admiration, respect and gratitude for not only the solid academic work they are doing but the way in which they communicate it and make it so accessible. THANK YOU OCAD. You are amazing. Always inspired by your efforts!!!

Here’s a little bit about the program. And more about OCAD in general – located in Toronto.

Here’s a terrific little video piece they did ABOUT foresight in general.

Here’s a few of the Masters’ Thesis that I’ve found terrific synergy with social work futures. These bring fresh thinking and perspectives to everyday issues. They are imagination unleashed…and extremely thought provoking! They “use the future” in powerful and intriguing ways. You are going to want to get a little something to drink and take off your shoes…cause you’re going to spend a little time on this…and you’ll be glad you did.
