At 2021 Celebration, KVC Health Systems Will Honor Heroes, Thank Supporters and Share Its Impact

KVC 2021 Annual Celebration

On Thursday, October 21, KVC Health Systems will host its 2021 Annual Celebration. KVC hosts this event every October to thank the generous supporters who have enabled the nonprofit organization to strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect, and help people achieve mental health wellness. KVC serves over 60,000 people each year in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky and West Virginia, with a total positive impact of changing over 350,000 people’s lives in its 51-year history.

This event will be fully virtual and will livestream on KVC’s YouTube channel from 3-4pm Central (4-5pm Eastern). Participants will hear from KVC’s President and CEO Jason Hooper, learn about KVC’s impact in the community, be inspired by the stories of people who’ve been helped by KVC, and watch as KVC recognizes its wonderful values-driven partners and heroes.

Anyone who cares about child and family wellbeing is encouraged to attend! This includes donors, volunteers, advocates, partner organizations, kinship families, resource families including foster and adoptive parents, youth and adult clients, and KVC team members nationwide.

The last fiscal year, which ended June 30, 2021, has been an especially difficult one for vulnerable children and families due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, many people have faced challenges related to their mental health, exposure to adverse childhood experiences like abuse or neglect, the impacts of racism or discrimination, and health-threatening levels of loneliness, isolation and disconnectedness.

During this time, KVC Health Systems’ nearly 1,500 team members across the U.S. have continued helping people with critical in-home family support, mental health treatment, foster care, adoption, inpatient children’s psychiatric treatment and more. KVC aspires to be a catalyst for ending the national suicide epidemic and the opioid epidemic; for safely reducing the number of children in foster care nationally by 50 percent; and for transforming healthcare to achieve a truly integrated approach to treating all that ails the human spirit.

At the Annual Celebration, KVC Health Systems will present its Hero Award to Dr. Anh Vinh and to KVC’s essential frontline team members nationwide. It will also unveil its 2021 Impact Report.
