National Social Work Conference Aims to Shape the Future of Social Work in Sierra Leone
Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Sierra Leone Association of Social Workers (SLASW), in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Welfare, is hosting the National Social Work Conference 2024 on April 29th at the Tunde-Cole Auditorium on the Fourah Bay College Campus.
Themed “A National Conversation on the Regulation of Social Work Practice, Education and Ethical Standards,” the conference will bring together practitioners, educators, regulators, service users, students, and stakeholders for a crucial discussion on elevating the social work profession in Sierra Leone.
Madam Melrose Karminty, the Minister of Social Welfare, will deliver the keynote address. The conference promises engaging discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities to shape the future of social work in the country.
